Developers and Independent Connectivity Providers (ICP)

By their nature, the majority of new development sites are isolated from digital services provided by fibre or mobile networks.

During the construction phase, builders rely on digital productivity tools from access to plans, scheduling, health and safety and site logistics.  Security is a major concern with perimeter control often dependent on CCTV and cloud based video analytics. The new tenants will also expect fibre and mobile services for their new premises from the day of occupancy. Digital utilities are now as essential as electricity, water and sewerage.

Solution – Avance design a multi host fibre and mobile network from the development plans and start providing digital services once the builder takes possession of the site.  A new fibre to our datacentre from our national network is provided within weeks of the S106 being signed, so that secure site WiFi and private 5G can be provided during the construction phase. These allow standard laptops, mobile devices and IoT, including CCTV,  to be used during the construction phase.

Fibre is ducted to individual buildings and cellsites during the groundwork phase of construction.  This means digital services will be available immediately for the new occupiers as soon as the the keys are handed over.  The multi host design makes it easy for any digital service provider to connect their customers directly from the Avance datacentre.  This unique service avoids any further site works.

For the developer – The availability of fibre and mobile digital services will uplift the value of the development (see wiredscore).  Avance will fund the build and maintain the network.

For the builder – The availability of mobile services will improve productivity, aid logistics, ensure security and reduce losses caused by delays and shrinkage.

For occupiers – Digital services both mobile and fibre, will be available immediately which makes the choice of property more compelling.
